Aaron put a warning on the old page. The problem is that the page is indexed by search engines and its content appears in answers about METS 2. It was decided to remove it. It will still be available in the change history of GitHub.
Tobias talked with the person requesting to keep structLink in METS 2. It is widely used in German digitization projects to link between two structMaps (physical and logical). This usage of structLink is not as it was intended to be and is pretty unique. A closer look at the examples shows that the logical structMaps are not complete in the sense that they don't contain fptr. There are several ways to achieve the same without structLink. It was decided to not keep structLink or introduce a new mechanism to link between structMaps (e. g. divptr). Tobias will deliver the answer.
- Overview and tutorial: Inge wanted to do the clean-up. Aaron will remind.
- Schema clean-up: Aaron will look into it.
- XSLT transformation: The discussion about nested File Groups is still open. It is not necessary to present a finished version at the iPRES. It could be work in progress.
- List of suggested vocabularies: Should be a GitHub repository with a form for suggestions. It should not be on the LoC page. As a starting point all vocabularies are the same as in METS 1. It is not necessary to have it ready for iPRES.
- METS profile schema: After iPRES.
Karen, Aaron and Juha will be at the iPRES, Tobias too. There will be separate calls for preparation of the tutorial in the second half of August (coordination on mailing list). Juha will be on vacation until three weeks before iPRES.
