- Jeff to assign someone to code review vehicle type model.
- Vehicle type model
- Model is ready for code review.
- RSG to present next Thursday on sensitivity tests and validation results.
- Sensitivity tests include adjusted income, changing geographic constants (Atlanta-specific constant in ARC model, for example), and increase the number of charging stations. Meeting participants didn't have any other tests to suggest.
- School pick-up/drop-off implementation plan was sent out this past Tuesday (4/26), and comments are due next Tuesday (5/3).
- Shadow pricing implementation plan will be sent out next, after school pick-up/drop-off has been addressed.
- Alex noted that Greg Macfarlane (BYU) reached out (via email) to Joel, Jeff, and Alex to discuss creating a lightweight/streamlined ActivitySim. They have a microsimulation tool for micromobility and they need reasonable demand to do the assignment. The model would be needed for application in San Francisco and Salt Lake City, so they would like a consistent demand tool for both regions. The model would be a basic and super fast version of ActivitySim; no proposed code change but just standing up an example. Oregon has interest in this because would deploy something like that for smaller MPOs around the state.
- Guy is interested in this as it would be helpful in scenario planning, where you might have to do hundreds of model runs, and a lightweight version of the model would be helpful in those efforts.
- WSP is doing something a little similar for SANDAG, called the Rapid Strategic Model.
- Guy, Sijia, Christi, Joe Flood, Stefan Coe, and Wu Sun to be added to that email thread.
- Further discussion about a possible in-person charrette to decide on a direction for model redesign/refactoring. There was a request for more information about the length of such meeting (one-day, two-days?) and timing (summer, fall?).
- ARC volunteered to present an updated on their ActivitySim implement and provide some lessons learned, particularly related to versioning. They could present sometime in the summer.
