Task 1 Project Management (milestone)

• Still working on documentation/examples/tidying-up for upcoming release v0.99

• PSRC fixed high trip fail rate - was related to bad land use input data
• We'll plan a workshop at the AMPO conference in October
• And also maybe a workshop at the technical symposium in May of next year
• A 2 hour workshop at the AMPO conference should be good
• @Joe, Caitlin, Ben setup a separate call to discuss
• Chattanooga also interested in ActivitySim

Task 2 Complete Estimation Mode (milestone)

Task 3 Telecommute Model in Cooperation with SEMCOG (milestone)

• I need to update the telecommute model design and add the iterative what-if functionality

Task 4 Transit Pass Ownership Model in Cooperation with SEMCOG (milestone)

• Joel working on revisions based on comments
• MTC looking into employment data and other sources but this exercise has identified a need for fare subsidy information in future surveys
• Folks to review the latest design emails
• How might this relate to MaaS options?
• Remember discounts (e.g. age) and subsidies (e.g. employer) are different things
• Maybe make two separate models?
• It would be good to inventory more use cases for this model? Please share ideas/needs if you have them
• Passes by income, age, student, employer, for equity reasons, etc.
• Can we add an override percent feature similar to telecommute model?

Task 7 Input checking and error handling and pipeline improvements (milestone)

• Task 7 usability issues plan:
  • Improve RAM/chunking settings #406
    • Switch from chunk_size parameter to available_memory parameter (say 56GB of 64GB available on the machine) and let ActivitySim figure out the appropriate chunk_size given the number of processors specified
    • And save the calculated settings to disk so ActivitySim can re-use it next time to save even a little more time. This assumes the same basic inputs, machine config, etc.
  • Print info about no alternative found, #404
  • Turn off restarting if desired, #405
