The Technical Advisory Board (TAB) interacts with and serves a diverse group of stakeholders. Recognizing and understanding the needs of these stakeholders is crucial for the TAB to effectively guide the OHDSI open source projects and ensure they meet the broader community's requirements.
- Core OHDSI Contributors & Software Maintainers: These are individuals and teams directly involved in developing and maintaining the OHDSI open source software and the OMOP Common Data Model. Their contributions are fundamental to the projects' success.
- Global OMOP CDM & OHDSI Software User Community: This includes all users of the OMOP Common Data Model (CDM) and the OHDSI software, encompassing a global community of researchers, developers, healthcare professionals, and more.
- Partners & Sponsors: This group includes commercial vendors, academic institutions, healthcare organizations, and standards organizations that partner with or sponsor OHDSI. Their support and collaboration are vital for the growth and sustainability of the projects.
The TAB ensures that the needs and perspectives of these stakeholders are considered in decision-making processes. This includes:
- Gathering and addressing feedback from the OHDSI user community.
- Collaborating with partners and sponsors to align project goals with broader industry and academic standards.
- Engaging in transparent communication to keep stakeholders informed about project developments and decisions.
The TAB is committed to maintaining a strong relationship with all stakeholders, recognizing that their diverse perspectives and support are integral to the success and impact of OHDSI open source projects.
