TAB Charter - Meeting Frequency

Regular meetings are an essential aspect of the Technical Advisory Board's (TAB) operations, facilitating consistent engagement, timely decision-making, and effective communication among members. The TAB MS Teams monthly call is scheduled on the first Friday of the month.

Scheduled Meetings

The TAB adheres to the following meeting schedule:

  • Monthly Meetings: The TAB conducts scheduled meetings on a monthly basis. These meetings are crucial for ensuring consistent engagement among members and for making timely decisions on important matters.

    • Purpose: These meetings provide a platform for decision making, technical discussions and tracking progress on ongoing projects, upcoming initiatives, technical challenges, and other relevant topics.
    • Preparation: Prior to each meeting, an agenda is circulated to allow members to prepare and contribute effectively.
  • Alignment with OHDSI Khieron Calls: The TAB meetings are aligned with the monthly OHDSI Khieron calls, ensuring synchronization with broader OHDSI community open source activities and discussions.

Importance of Regular Meetings

  • Collaboration and Transparency: Regular meetings foster a culture of collaboration and transparency within the TAB, allowing for open decision making, discussions and collective decision-making.
  • Progress Tracking: They serve as an opportunity to track the progress of various initiatives and address any challenges or obstacles encountered.

Participation

  • Member Participation: Active participation from all TAB members is encouraged to ensure diverse perspectives are represented and considered in the decision-making process.
  • Community Engagement: While these meetings are primarily for TAB members, summaries or key outcomes will be shared with the broader OHDSI community to maintain transparency and inclusivity.

The TAB's commitment to regular and structured meetings is vital for its effective functioning and for driving the progress of OHDSI open source projects.
