• Samvera has had a tighter affiliation with Duraspace

CLAW Update

• Media is now in core (as of Drupal 8.5). This, combined with the simplified content modeling, means that we get PDF, audio, video, and binary content as standard Drupal features. However, we still need to complete the derivative creation services we want.
• Rendering of media can embedded as a View. Using Views within Display Modes is a common pattern in D8. This View encodes logic for filtering what gets rendered (relationships, filters on mimetype, etc.).
• This means can now use Drupal for file management
• This means we can now abandon the idea of content models
• If you consider it to be a book, you tag as a book. If you mean it to be an image, you tag as an image.
• It will be a vast simplization of data modelling in CLAW.
• Drupal Migrate / Migrate Plus
  • A possible migration path for 7.x to CLAW might be Migrate Plus.
• In Drupal, you can limit specific access to certain taxonomies.

• Been doing more promotion with DuraSpace
• Registrations are low, but working on that to get them up soon.
