Eventide
Eventide was a mountain town not far from Delta. It was founded by sparkypi in the early days of Settlers MC.
MilesBHuff wanted to found a second town on the coast between the rivers in the bay of Eventide, and leave Delta for Middie321. The hope was to build a fully modern city, and then form a nation with Middie. Miles had discovered this plot of land and made these plans about a week before sparkypi discovered the mountains by the bay. Sparky loved the mountains, and thought it was the perfect place to found a town. Miles, upon learning this, first attempted to bribe Sparky into founding his town on the shore instead of in the mountains, figuring he could just get Sparky to join his nation later, thus accomplishing the same thing in the end; but Sparky declined. After that, Miles began working to earn the $10,000 in-time, but Sparky beat Miles to that dollar amount by a few minutes, and succeeded in founding the town of Eventide. Miles was upset, and left a sign where he'd wanted to found a second town, decrying Sparky for ruining such a perfect location for a town (The shore was strategically located between two navigable rivers attached to two NPC villages, and was not far from an Illager tower.).
Sparky found the sign some time later, and felt bad. He bought up the plots where Miles had wanted to found a town, named the area "Huffington", and offered to let Miles build there. Miles had completely forgotten about the sign by that point, and felt terrible, apologizing profusely for his immaturity. The two of them made up, and relations with Eventide remained good until Sparky retired from the game.
Eventide disbanded from failing to pay upkeep, and was looted shortly thereafter.
Miles eventually built a road running all the way from Delta to Eventide, making transit between the two towns easier than ever.
In 2020, stinky_hat built a new town in the old region of Huffington, called Aikau. When dead towns were resurrected in late 2020, Aikau was viewed as the direct successor to Eventide; and so Eventide, itself, was not directly resurrected during this.
