Changes to Minecraft's core mechanics

Miles B Huff edited this page Feb 24, 2021 · 3 revisions

There are many tweaks to core vanilla game mechanics in SettleScape. This article details the more-interesting ones.

  • Cats do not prevent you from opening chests
  • Naturally-generated loot-chests refill once every 24 hours. However, they do not repeatedly refill for the same players. This allows new players to still enjoy the shipwrecks in the Great Sea, among other things.
  • Buried ores are sent to the client as plain stone; so it is difficult to X-ray effectively.
  • Parrots do not fall off your shoulder when you fall. Instead, you must crouch.
  • The End's Exit Portal does not play the end-game credits.
