Present: Dirk Saelens, Annelies Vandermeulen (notes), Michael Mans, Alessandro Maccarini, Enora Garreau, Ina De Jaeger (notes), Arash Erfani

Buildings group

• Occupancy profiles
  • Enora: Differences between DIMOSIM and IDEAS are about 10-20% (similar to reference case)
  • Alessandro will have finished simulations in Rome
  • Guys from Norway: have to model occupants manually, so perhaps model one or two variations only?
• To discuss: variations on renovations
• Office building:
  • will be modelled by Arash for Leuven
  • new version of TEASER coming: data format office building

TO DO

• Ina: send data format for 16 dwellings to building modelers, then make plots for Rome meeting

Network group

• Annelies coupled the building to the network
  • Grey boxes in Modelica model are replaced by building models of Ina
  • Buildings have a PI controller (+ heating curve)
  • Only space heating for now
  • Problems:
    • For some solvers: energy into the pipe does not equal energy out of the pipe
    • Heat exchanger of Buildings library can act strangely
    • Speed up ! Simulation of buildings only takes 160 minutes, simulations of buildings + network takes 24 * 60 minutes > 9 times slower ! This originates from adding the network + controllers ?

• Annelies: prepare some slides to start discussion in Rome
