Breathe Out

I must admit I am having an excruciating month. I feel like I'm stuck in the vertex as the water gets pulled down the drain. I've also been in a conceptual rut. I've got fodder, but I don't know who to feed. So I came up with this idea of using a light sensor and a piece of black silk and when one breathes out against the silk it covers the light sensor and turns on my big blue LED that glows through the fabric. This idea came from 1) I tend to hold my breath and 2)I love my black silk scarf.

I ran into an construction issue. I wanted to mount it vertically, but ultimately I didn't have time to get the materials and build it, like I said excruciating. I like the idea of using different materials to get the result that another single component might do. Like I could use something the just measures air, but I like the idea of transcribing breathe to fabric to light.
