Use GitHub Desktop to clone

  1. Open GitHub Desktop
  2. If you haven't used GitHub Desktop before, you'll get an intro screen.
    1. Select "Clone repository from internet"
    2. If you are in our organization or are working on a fork, you can select the repository you want from the list.
    3. If you can't see the repository you want in the list, find the repository on GitHub.org, and press "Code" (big green button). There will be an option to open the repository with GitHub Desktop.
  3. If you already have repositories cloned by GitHub Desktop, you can find "Clone repository..." in the "File" menu.
    1. If you are in our organization or are working on a fork, you can select the repository you want from the list.
    2. If you can't see the repository you want in the list, find the repository on GitHub.org, and press "Code" (big green button). There will be an option to open the repository with GitHub Desktop.
