Gamma globulins, or Ig's, are a class of serum proteins that can be identified by electrophoresis. The most significant gamma globulins are antibodies. Gamma globulin injections are sometimes given in an attempt to temporarily boost a patient's immunity. Injections are also given to patients who have been exposed to hepatitis A or measles and to patients who lack the ability to produce gamma globulins because of an immune deficiency, such as in X-linked agammaglobulinemia. A normal range for this measurement is 0.7 to 1.6 g/dL. [2]
The recommended low and high values for each unit associated with 3023465 are below. These are not meant to be normal values. Rather, these are meant to be biologically plausible values. For example, it would be implausible to see a patient with a weight of 0 kg though a person could be 2.5 kg.
