Random flags -> Solo Hero fix
Drastic Chaos Monster Stat Improvement
Chaos monster stats now work as follows:
- They are randomized between 8-1020, pretty much as before.
- They are then scored between 1-14.5 on a linear scale.
- Their experience is then assigned according to that score on an exponential score.
- The 40 weakest monsters will have all stats weakened by a power of a sliding scale between 0.50 and 1.0, but will still have minimum stats to make them somewhat reasonable.
- Monster zones will then be reassigned based on the monster score. This includes bosses!
This is still quite experimental, so give it a try and let me know what you think!
The mandatory bug fix release
Bosses were disappearing when monster zones were "ridiculous"... stuff like that. :)
Three new options!
In addition to a hoard of bug fixes, I added three new options:
- Changing the town of Aneaux to Necrosaro's Mountain (but I'll note that the game will lock after the dragon saves you after defeating Necrosaro... I don't know how to fix that yet)
- Changing the difficulty of Necrosaro... if you want a tougher fight or you want a quicker game of DW4R
- Not requiring Zenithian gear for the Zenithian Tower and Castle.
Signs no longer bulldozing towns and caves
The title pretty much says all. One more bug knocked off! :)
Fresh file bugfixes
We've been getting different checksums when starting with a fresh install. This EXE should resolve that problem.
Random Flag bug fixes
Found an issue with two flags where one flag was overwriting custom code with another. I also removed the 3x and 4x encounter rates and added a 3/8x encounter rate. I also added a CHAOS encounter rate, where you have a 1/4 chance of getting a higher than normal encounter rate. The rate can never be lower than 1/4, but you have a slightly higher chance of having that rate.
Random flags! And a bunch of bug fixes
In the Shortcuts tab, there's a new "Random Flags" checkbox. This will make it where all checkboxes normally available have a 50-50 chance of being randomized (speed hacks exempted), and all combo boxes have an equal chance of being used.
I also made numerous bug fixes, mostly with mapping, but I also had to make a solo hero fix.
World Tree bug fix
The warp tile at Elfville / The World Tree was incorrect. I changed it to the correct position.
A few more bug fixes
More Endor section bridge fixes, a solo hero challenge fix, and one more map fix is what we have in store for this version. Enjoy!
