- 13:35 <demory> well why don't we go ahead and start
- 13:37 <demory> so, i've spent most of this week working on the new otp.org, including a potential new visual identity for OTP
- 13:37 <demory> i actually have one concept online that i'd be curious to get feedback on:
- 13:37 <novalis_dt> OK. I've been working on area routing -- I have gotten some successful routes, but there are also some bogus routes which go outside the area -- I'm trying to debug this; I have reduced my test case from the entire Piazza San Marco (31 pts) down to 6 points, and am now digging in to find the root cause
- 13:37 <demory> http://otp.dev.openplans.org/
- 13:38 <novalis_dt> Looks great!
- 13:38 <demory> otp now comes in a box, per our discussion last summer :)
- 13:38 <novalis_dt> Looks like you need to swap GitHub Commits and Issues
- 13:38 <demory> ah, you're right
- 13:39 <demory> this is still pretty rough obviously
- 13:40 -!- FrankP [d819d23c@gateway/web/freenode/ip.216.25.210.60] has joined #opentripplanner
- 13:42 <demory> hey Frank -- i just shared a new branding / website concept i've been working on, take a look when you get a chance: http://otp.dev.openplans.org/
- 13:42 <demory> anything to report from Portland?
- 13:43 <mele> not too much going on here at the moment. editing, editing...
- 13:43 <FrankP> midnight commander...cool
- 13:44 <FrankP> yeah, not too much..internally, just put fare outlets on the TM map. And kind of excited to try and get car2go data on there (I just joined as a memeber ... they're new to Portland as of last month).
- 13:45 <demory> yeah i'm red green colorblind so i def stick to blue when designing stuff :)
- 13:45 -!- kpw [kpw@nat/openplans.org/x-evnbbnogghpslkim] has joined #opentripplanner
- 13:45 <demory> is car2go in portland now?
- 13:45 <FrankP> ...and they have a cool API. I asked my friend (Marketing guy) at Zipcar for comment, but nothing yet.
- 13:45 <demory> or sorry
- 13:45 <FrankP> yeah, as of March
- 13:45 <demory> didn't read the whole thing
- 13:45 <demory> that's great
- 13:46 <novalis_dt> With Laurent's bike share code, maybe we can do car share too
- 13:46 <mele> I'm really excited about bike share being in OTP
- 13:46 <FrankP> Especially car2go, where it's fairly random where a car will be.
- 13:46 <mele> the policymakers around here are going to be so excited about it
- 13:46 <FrankP> Mele, when do we get bike share in Portland?
- 13:47 <mele> cause we're starting a system up next spring
- 13:47 <novalis_dt> Nice!
- 13:47 <mele> they're saying early 2013 right now
- 13:48 <mele> pdxbikeshare.com
- 13:49 <novalis_dt> 2013 sounds like the distance future, but it's actually next year. Whoa.
- 13:50 <novalis_dt> Anyway, naturally, I'll work on the various bugs as soon as I finish up with areas. Hopefully that will be soon -- I'm testing in Venice, but if anyone has any test cases locally that they want me to try, please let me know and I'll try them out.
- 13:52 <FrankP> A random tanget...anyone here of APE http://www.ape-project.org/ before. Until I saw their little chat app atop the page, I was kinda like, AJAX push, eh (especially since I'm typing into an AJAX push client right now), but I'm thinking this could be cool for some stuff (TriMet field personal, etc...)
- 13:52 <novalis_dt> I think I did see that, actually
- 13:52 <novalis_dt> Last time I did something like that I used hookbox
- 13:53 <novalis_dt> But it was a bit crappy then (last summer)
- 13:53 <novalis_dt> I think it's now back in more active development
- 13:55 <demory> alright anything else for the check in?
- 13:56 <novalis_dt> Nothing here
- 13:56 <demory> kpw you presented on analyst yesterday right? anything of note there?
- 13:57 <demory> not sure if kpw is around but Andrew set up a cool demo of analyst for DC where the proposed purple line LRT can be turned on and off
- 13:58 <demory> i'm going to try to get that online permanently (we just used a temp aws instance for the demo yesterday)
- 13:59 <demory> anyway nothing else from me
- 14:00 <demory> ok, i guess that's it for the check in
- 14:00 <demory> thanks everyone!
- 14:00 <novalis_dt> Next week, then!
- 14:00 <FrankP> take care all
