Windows flash file directly

One way to program the latest HomeBrew firmware is to use the ESP32 Flash Download tool on MS-Windows

The firmware used to be named esp32_wifi.bin instead of the new hbg3.bin name.

Running the Flash tool

• Launch
• Set Chip Type to ESP32
• Work mode Develope
• Download Latest bin
• Select the file and put a 0 in the @ box
• Check the box to make the selection Green
• Select COM port
• Click on the BAUD pull-down and select 921600
• Press Start

The black text window should come to life, and after a pause the green Download block will show. Watch/wait for the green progress bar at the bottom.

The word FINISH will show in the block. All done. The HomeBrew Gen3 now has the new firmware!
