Basic build

  • ESP32 Dev board
  • 90 degree RJ12
  • 5v Buck power manager
  • 2x 2 position switch (or rocker, dip or flip)
  • Nunchuck port
  • OLED Display (optional but extremely useful)
  • Decent USB micro cable (or USB-C if your ESP32 is that way inclined)
  • GPIO pins
  • HBG3 RJ12 cable - Flat with ends reversed
  • HBG3 OLED switch
  • 35mm heat shrink tube to protect it, or 3D print if you have access to a printer
  • Red headlight film for the OLED

Optional

  • GPS module (Beitian BE-180) optional. Using fakegps can provide a location with time being pulled from an internet connection to an NTP server

AliExpress wishlist here prices vary, even during the order or when adding Tax/postage.

Ensure to select the correct items as there is sometimes a choice:

  • 90° RJ12 6P6C (HBG3 board has no shielded post holes currently)
  • 5v buck (not the 3v or 4v)
  • OLED display White (Red film can be added later). Pins are sometimes provided attached or loose!
  • GPS BE-180

A Blue and Red marker for the Switches helps to identify them within the instructions.
