The Adaptrboard Kit

The Adaptrboard kit contains the interface hardware that allows you to convert the Molex and Dupont style connectors used on the Printrbot to the JST-XH style connectors used by the BTT SKR Mini E3. It also contains a interface circuit that allows the use of the Z Induction probe found on the Printrbot. This involves feeding 12v to the probe but then converting the output (which also comes back as 12v) down to 5v to feed to the SKR to avoid frying it. Finally, the kit also contains the various cables, zip ties, screws/bolts, and some labels necessary to connect everything together nice and cleanly.

Interface Boards

Z-Probe Interface

This interface board connects the Printrbot Inductive Z-Probe to the SKR. It supplies 12v power from the Fan0 port on the SKR to the probe, and converts the 12v probe output to 5v SKR input to its Z-Stop connector. The board also provides a connector for a secondary fan, often used to cool a Ubis 13 hot end.
Note - although the board used in this installation was a beta, and did not contain a second aux fan output to connect the SKR stepper shroud fan, the final version included in the kit may also contain this connector. In the beta kit, there are places on the board that this connector can be soldered on.

Stepper Motor Interface

The Stepper Motor Interface board connects the SKR stepper driver outputs to the Printrbot motors. This board serves to convert the connectors used in the cabling without the need for the end user to have to create/crimp new cabling/connectors.

Thermistor Interface

The Thermistor Interface board connects the SKR T0 and TB thermistor input ports to the Printrbot thermistors. This board serves to convert the connectors used in the cabling without the need for the end user to have to create/crimp new cabling/connectors. Depending on whether your Printrbot has a heated bed or not, only one of the 2 connectors may end up being used.

End Stop Interface

This interface board connects the X/Y Endstops from the Printrbot to the X-Stop / Y-Stop ports on the SKR. Again, this board is used simple to convert the cabling without requiring the end user to modify the existing connectors on the Printrbot cables.

Fan Interface

The Fan Interface board connects the SKR Fan0 output port to the Printrbot secondary fan. This fan is not always present, but when it is, was often used as an always on fan to cool the extruder. The interface board is simply an aid in converting the cable connectors used from what is found in a Printrbot to the JST-XH connectors used on the SKR.
