While interacting with other hackathon 2020 + 1 participants, we ask that you keep the following principles in mind to help us to maintain a safe and inclusive environment:

Welcome and support people of all backgrounds and identities.

Be a respectful participant that values other's skills, experience, and contributions.

Be an active, but considerate participant that listens to other's views and ideas

Ensure that the relationships and conversations among Hackathon 2020+1 participants remain respectful, participatory, and productive.

We hope for the Hackathon 2020+1 to be a safe space where participants – regardless of their technical abilities or experience in their career – can contribute and discuss issues within the Hackathon themes.

Maintain an environment where people are free from discrimination or harassment.
