Introduction

The IHI Code Club Hackathon 2020+1 is a full-day collaborative hacking sprint to solve real-world issues in health data science. As participant, you will have a unique opportunity to learn from and collaborate with other participants from diverse backgrounds including students, researchers, data scientists, software engineers, and public.

During the hackathon, participants will be divided into a group of up to 5 people to work together on a specific theme and project category (see Categories and Themes).

Pre-Event Preparatory Tasks for Participants

  1. Please read through this overview and (optionally) add your project ideas to the Google Form
  2. Before the Pre-event (25 June, 17.00 - 19.00), we'll send out the list of teams and project ideas to all participants so that you can start forming teams and preparing data/tools/tasks.
  3. At the Pre-Hackathon event, we will finalise teams and projects - you can look for any team members you need, choose which group you want to join, create new teams based on existing or new ideas. Get to know your team here and allocate roles.

It is important that you attend the pre-Hackathon event, where we'll introduce the Hackathon and finalise teams. If you don't have a team or project idea at this point, this is an opportunity to find or create one (we'll help you). You can also then start to allocate roles and prepare any tools required for the following two days. Even more importantly, it is a good opportunity to get to know your team-mates 🤝
