##Person is registered with a badge. Awesome. Happy path. Find the person's badge in the stack — badges will be ordered by last name. Hand them the badge, tell them to get a lanyard and t-shirt and have a good time at the event. Check their name off on the registration sheet.

##Person is registered, but without a badge. The person may have registered after we sent the badge info for production or there may have been a last minute ticket transfer. Check the printed sheet to make sure the name appears. Ask them to write their name, company, and Twitter handle (if they have one) on two white sticky labels (one for each side of the badge) and hand them a blank badge to put it on. After they’ve done that, tell them to get a lanyard and t-shirt and have a good time at the event. Check their name off on the registration sheet.

##Person is taking someone else’s place who is registered. Ask the person whose place they’re taking. Find that person on the registration sheet to verify the registration. Have them write their information (at least name, company, and email) next to the registered person’s on the registration sheet. Find the registered person’s badge. Ask them to write their name, company, and Twitter handle (if they have one) on two white sticky labels (one for each side of the badge) and hand them the badge to put it on. After they’ve done that, tell them to get a lanyard and t-shirt and have a good time at the event. Check the registered person’s name off on the registration sheet.

##Person isn’t registered — they’re a “walk-in”. Sorry, we don’t have any more tickets available so we can’t accommodate anyone else. We’re sold out.

##Press Please direct any press individuals to registration leads (see Random issue section below).

##Special issues, special guest, special situation We will appoint a registration captain to whom all issues will be addressed that cannot be smoothly handled within a couple of minutes with the above procedures. The first goal is to keep registration moving smoothly for persons without problem. Persons with problems should be directed to a separate queue for the registration captain.

##Random issue you have no idea how to handle. Find one of the registration leads — Jeff Gallimore (703-980-9420, [email protected]) and Greg Elin (917-304-3488, [email protected]) — or send a message to the Registration Team in VictorOps.
