Definition

DA "river" is a type 1 2 or 3 watercourse (river stream) in Europe.

The river is the subject of campaigns by users.

The type is referenced in the importance attribute of the referential.river table, according to the Strahler standard.

A river is composed of segments to calculate more localized indicators instead of calculating on a complete river.

Each segment is only of one type.

A segment is linked to a country, but is not linked to a state, county or municipality.

BI processing will look for rivers associated with a campaign.

It is at this level that the municipality data are linked in the bi.trash table.

The state, department and municipality information is only available for France.

The other countries were considered too complex and with little contribution: for Spain, Germany, Italy, Greece, Albania, United Kingdom ... it is considered non-blocking on the application.

This limits the search by location, and forces to use GPS coordinates.

A country is delimited by borders.

The notion of basin is present in the base but is not used.
