The Security Force Monitor Research Handbook describes an apporoach to investigating the organisational structure, command personnel, geographical footprint of security and defense forces. It is used to establish connections between specific units and persons, and documented human rights abuses, and support the pursuit of accountabilty for those abuses.
The updates in this version include:
- Introduction of "claims" and graphs as a basic data modelling concept
- Overhaul of core models for units, persons, incidents, and locations
- Introduction of training model
- Improved documentation of timeline construction
