Probably the most popular way to impose boundary conditions in SPH is the fluid extensions methodology. Herein we focus on the solid walls model by means of fluid extensions, described by Marrone et al. 2011a and Marrone et al. 2011b.
As it has been described before, when a convolution is practised close to a boundary, the compact support is truncated, as shown in the following image:
