Boot Into Recovery on x18

When you hold Power button and volume +, you are supposed to be able to get into a menu to choose between booting into Recovery, Fastboot, or Normal mode. However, the lk partition provided with the Clean-ish rom either does not have this or has the key mapped incorrectly so it doesn't work. This guide intends to fix this for the x18.
Make sure you have gone through the Clean-ish rom guide before this, and that you are doing this only on a Powkiddy x18
This guide isn't necessary for the Powkiddy x15
Needed things:
- A Powkiddy x18 (NOT A POWKIDDY X15!)
- SP Flash Tool
- The lk.bin lk.bin download
- You should already have the drivers installed from installing Clean-ish rom
Installing:
- Open up SP Flash Tool, and for the scatter file use the Clean-ish rom scatter file.
- Uncheck every partition, and change to download only
- Click the "location" field beside the lk partition in SP Flash Tool, and select the correct lk.bin file
- Double check to be sure that lk is the only partition selected and that it has the correct file (it should look like the image below, but the location will likely be different. Also be sure that you are doing this on a Powkiddy x18.
- Turn off your Powkiddy x18 and make sure it is not plugged into your computer.
- Click the Download button in SP Flash Tool.
- Plug in your turned off Powkiddy x18 with a reliable USB cable into a reliable USB port in your computer.
- SP Flash tool should say Downloading da and then flashing. Once it's done it'll show a checkmark.
- Once the checkmark is shown, you may close SP Flash Tool and unplug your x18.
Testing: You shouldn't run into any issues with the above procedure, but it's always a good idea to make sure everything went correctly.
- Once you unplug your x18 from the computer, wait 10 seconds before proceeding to step 2.
- Turn on your device normally. It should boot into the rom normally. If not, explain your issue in the Discord or try flashing the Clean-ish rom lk image back on.
- If all goes well, turn your device back off.
- Once your device is fully off, turn it on by holding Volume + and the Power button at the same time until the select boot menu appears.
- Navigating through it is as follows.
- Volume Up moves you down through the menu. It will loop back to the top once you reach the bottom.
- Volume Down selects the current option.
- If you see this menu, you have done it properly. If you have TWRP installed, you can just navigate to recovery mode and choose that with Volume Down and it'll boot into it. Otherwise, you can just navigate to Normal Boot (without any extra options) and press Volume Down to boot normally. This selection screen will only be triggered when turning on with Volume UP held down.
