URL parameters

Genome Maps accept the following URL paramteres:

  • species=Mus%20musculus or species=hsapiens
  • region=1:3073253-3074322 or region=1:3073721
  • gene=BRCA2 or gene=ENSG00000236383
  • snp=rs190457976
Some Examples

You can find some example links here, above parameters can be combined as shown in some of the examples:

  1. Default species is set to human, to open a different species:

  2. To set a specific region:

    http://www.genomemaps.org/?species=mmusculus&region=11:101464999-101471853

  3. This URL will fit human BRCA2 gene in the screen:

    http://www.genomemaps.org/?gene=BRCA2

    http://www.genomemaps.org/?gene=ENSG00000236383

  4. While this one will open mouse BRAC2 gene:

    http://www.genomemaps.org/?species=mmusculus&gene=BRCA2

  5. You can also look for a specific SNP:
