43: Coil housing printing

Fortus 400mc FDM

Printing coil housing (or other 3D object) using Fortus 400mc FDM. 3D models have been prepared in the STL format. The Insight and Control Center software are for Windows and offered by Stratsys.

1. Load model to Insight.

2. Load model and set material

Load the model. And set the material for the model to be printed. We are currently using PC-ISO as the material for the housing

3. Prepare model and supports

Click the green flag button to prepare the model (adding support, slicing, etc).

4. Send model to Conrol Center

Click the "i->cc" button to send the prepared model to Control Center for printing.

5. Load the prepared model in Control Center

Load the model to Control Center. Arrange the model by shifting or making copies. When ready,send the job to the printer by clicking "Build job" button

6. Check the submitted model

Submitted model will be shown in the queue.

Uploaded model will be shown at the time line. Now proceed to the Fortus 400mc machine to print.
