1. Introduction

These are part of the data for the spontaneous physiological activity collected concurrently with fMRI from Alzheimer disease patients and healthy controls. Detailed of this experiment was described [here]. Data can be accessed by within Sunnybrook at //space_lin2/fhlin/ADProj/share.

2. Data structure

fMRI from Alzheimer disease patients and healthy controls are stored in folders "AD" and "NC", respectively. There are 12 patients and 13 control participants. Each folder within "AD" or "NC" includes files for the patient/participant. There are following files in an individual's folder:

  • Filtered_4DVolume.nii: fMRI data without any physiological correction
  • Drifter_4DVolume.nii: fMRI data after RETROICOR correction
  • RVHR_4DVolume.nii: fMRI data after both RETROICOR and RVHRCOR corrections
  • t_p.mat: time series of pulse measurement
  • t_r.mat: time series of respiratory belt measurement

fMRI data were sampled at TR = 2 s. Physiological recordings were processed at 50 Hz. The timing of fMRI and physiological recording have been aligned at the beginning of the acquisition.
