The current installation instructions suggest to use
pakbut that has known issues if the user has outdated or wrong GitHub credentials as has been noted in the linked issue and on thepakrepository. See Unnecessary git authentication for public repositories r-lib/pak#504.What is the new behavior (if this is a feature change)?
