Thanks for having a look @sabarasaba!
The reason why I proposed having a Save button is so that it updates the Preview request flyout. If we save the form data on wizard step change, the current changes in the Advanced options form will not be reflected in the Preview request flyout until the user goes to another step. |

Hey @sabarasaba, I managed to find an easy fix to the issue that we discussed. I also added some functional tests. Could you take another look when you get a chance? |

Cna we document this and what it does in https://github.com/elastic/kibana/tree/main/src/plugins/es_ui_shared/static/forms/docs as well?

Fixes #150395
Summary
This PR makes the Advanced options (configuration) form add to the request only the field values that have set values. This works by adding the
stripUnsetFields
option to theuseForm
hook (similar to thestripEmptyFields
option) which determines if the unset values will be returned by the form (unset means that the field hasn't been set/modified by the user (is not dirty) and its initial value is undefined).Screen.Recording.2024-10-01.at.21.47.15.mov
