In order to use the Twitter Archival feature of WAIL you must first sign into Twitter through WAIL. Until you do so the message seen below will be present when accessing this feature.

WAIL Twitter Sign In

After clicking the Sign In button a new window will appear with the sign in screen seen below.

Authorize WAIL

Once you have signed in this window will close and you will be able to start archiving Twitter feeds through WAIL

Why WAIL Requires Authorization

WAIL requires this step in order to ensure that your Twitter password and account details stay secret. WAIL will never see or have access to this information.

As an added bonus your direct messages will also stay private.

This authorization ensures that the interactions with Twitter done on your behalf conform to the Terms of Service and to ensure that this feature is not limited to technical restrictions that would apply if WAIL did not receive such authorization.

What WAIL Will Do With Authorization

Like applications such as TweetDeck WAIL uses this authorization to access multiple Twitter timelines (feeds) on your behalf.

WAIL will not post tweets or update your account. WAIL only uses this authorization to allow preservation of Twitter content that is important to you.
