This repository is provided to promote the collaborative development of terminology for the Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) community. The work is led by ISO/TC 204/WG 1, but we are interested in receiving input from the full ITS community so that the end result is a resource that will be widely used and accepted.

The model can be viewed a few different ways from this website as indicated in the table below. Approved versions are stored in the "master" branch while the latest drafts are stored in the "development" branch.

All of the views are generated from the EAP source file and, in theory, should provide the same information. However, the formal version of any definition is the one that is formally approved by ISO within the ISO document (PDF) format. Prior to publication, all information is subject to change and users should refer to the latest update of any term - as the EAP file is the ultimate source; it is generally the most up-to-date, but we try to keep the website synchronized with any major changes to facilitate review.

[1] As of March 2021, the first release of ISO 14812 has passed its ballot for a Draft Technical Specification, but a final opportunity is being provided for comments to ensure consensus throughout ITS. Finalization of the document is expected by October 2021 with publication likely in early 2022. The master branch will remain empty until the text is finalized.
