Use Cases for MTT 2.0 Web UI Tutorial

The following use cases are meant to demonstrate the flexibility of reporter.php and touch on each of the features.

Query Screen and Reports

  • Bring up a fresh reporter
  • Click [Summary] button
  • Click MPI install column header, then click your browser's [Back] button
  • Click the Fail column header under the MPI install column header, then click your browser's [Back] button
  • Click Test build column header, then click your browser's [Back] button
  • Click Test run column header, then click your browser's [Back] button
    • Select Hide in the menu adjacent to Platform name, and click [Summary]
    • Click a white sun cell
    • Click OS link next to textfield, select SunOS, and click [Insert] button
    • Click the down arrow () next to MPI version
      • Click a red MPI install table cell
        • Click [Detail] button
        • Click your browser's [Back] button twice
      • Click a red Test build table cell
        • Click [Detail] button
        • Click your browser's [Back] button twice
      • Click a red Test run table cell
        • Click [Detail] button
        • Click your browser's [Back] button twice
      • Click a blue Perf table cell
        • Select the Show entry in the menu next to the Test textfield
        • Click a white PingPong cell
          • Click [Performance] button
            • Open HTML and CSV links in new windows
        • Clear MPI version field, and type past 7 days for Date Range
          • Click [Performance] button
          • Uncheck several checkboxes in the left-hand column
          • Click button

Preferences

  • Bring up a fresh reporter
    • NOTE: Preferences don't fully work in Safari yet. Firefox can be used as a temporary workaround. See trac ticket 169 for details.
  • Click [Summary] (Note: the time zone displayed in GMT)
  • Click [Start over]
  • Click [Preferences]
    • Select EST in Time zone menu
    • Click the [Save] button (Note: the time zone displayed in EST)

Permalinks

  • Bring up a fresh reporter
  • Click [Summary] button
  • Click the [Create permalink] link next to Absolute date range
  • Click the [Create permalink] link next to Relative date range

Trial results

  • Bring up a fresh reporter
  • Click [Preferences]
  • Check the Show trial runs checkbox
    • Click the [Save] button (Note there are some trial results at the bottom of the table that are italicized and grayed.)
