Heading 1 is the page title.
Start by checking out the general pattern and style guidance on when to use page titles and headings from the Canada.ca Content Style Guide.
- Heading 1 always contains the red ruler underline.
- An institutional byline can be added below the red ruler underline if needed.
- Follow the heading hierarchy, in order from H1 (most important) to H6 (least important).
- There can only be one "Heading 1" per page.
- Skipping a heading level should be avoided.
For more information visit WCAG.
- The colour of the red rule underline cannot be changed. Please use the colour built into the component.
We imported the Heading 1 component from the Core GC Design Library into the Extended GC Design Library - DECD, then augmented it with a mobile version.
