3 4A Assessment

ShannonTucker edited this page Feb 2, 2022 · 1 revision

If a component exists in the Canada.ca Design System a 4A assessment is conducted.

The Canada.ca component is analyzed, and the following questions are asked:

  1. Does this component meet the needs of the Digital Centre?
  2. Do we need to augment it to meet the needs of the Digital Centre?
  3. Do we need to alter it to make it more relevant, usable, or inclusive?

A decision is made if the component should be accepted, altered, or augmented.

Accept: The design system includes the Canada.ca component as described.

Alter: An alteration to the component is proposed for relevance, usability, or inclusivity purposes.

Augment: More variations / states / features to the component are proposed.

Add: If no component exists in the Canada.ca design system a new component is proposed.
