This PR is blocked by the gcp cli update, that itself was closed in favor of this PR?

Hi @yanns !

I see how that's a little ambiguous. I was referring to the update on the gcp-cli orb itself, rather than an update on this orb. This PR here is going to be aimed at decoupling the cli from this orb, to give users more control over the orb versions they use.

This isn't 100% cemented as of now, and we'll be releasing a discuss post about this soon to go more into detail for our plans. I will provide you with a link once that's up in case you have any feedback on the matter!

Thanks for the update.
My major pain point is #57
Any new docker images does not work anymore.
Can we help for this? Can we update the dependencies for a short-term solution?

HI! @Jaryt

I think it was that the work was stopped waiting for gcp-cli-orb update, but gcp-cli-orb v3.0.1 has been released.
Is it possible to resume this development?
