xCAT 2.9.4 is ONLY released for AIX

New Functions and Changes in Behavior

Dropped Arguments

xCAT 2.9.4 is just an update of xCAT 2.9.3 to remove hard coded password for HMC/FSP for security reasons. Based on that, there is 2 options are dropped. For more information, please reference security notices for xCAT 2.9 AIX build.

  • The "dev" and "celogin1" options of rspconfig are dropped.

Test Environment

###xCAT dependency package verified with this xCAT release

  • dep-aix-2.9.3.tar.gz

    Note: All the updates are done in xCAT core, no update for xCAT dependency package, so the 2.9.3 xCAT dependency package was used.
