A CodeIgniter Plugin for implementing Hashids to generate hashes (like YouTube or Bitly) from numbers to obfuscate database IDs.
- Install the composer if you don't have:
https://getcomposer.org/download/ - Under your project root run
composer require hashids/hashids - Copy
hashids_helper.phpto yourapplication/helpersfolder & Appendconfig/hashids.phparray items to the relevent array items under yourapplication/configfolder. - You are all set
Encrypt: <?=hashids_encrypt(1234)?>
Decrypt: <?=hashids_decrypt("1lj")?>
Custom Encrypt: <?=hashids_encrypt(1234, 'alternate config salt', 10)?>
Custom Encrypt: <?=hashids_decrypt('pjxalngQJ3', 'alternate config salt', 10)?>
Insert following to the last line of your index.php
echo "<script>console.log('" . json_encode(hashids_encrypt(123123123)) . "');</script>";
echo "<script>console.log('" . json_encode(hashids_decrypt("MVznLP3v")) . "');</script>";
