CRAN release 1.2-2
This is a maintenance release that removes GNU Fortran extensions from the Fortran code. GNU extensions will give an error in the Fortran build tools of a future version of R. There are no changes in functionality, and the upgrade of cepreader is only necessary if building and installation of the package fails in new R.
Maintenance release 1.2-1
Version 1.2-1 is a minor release that updates cepreader to new Windows compiler tools in R 4.2.0. There are no other changes, but Windows users with new R should upgrade.
CRAN release 1.2-0
New version was released because previous version failed to build in Apple Silicon (issue #6). In addition, this version can return sparse matrix (Matrix package).
CRAN release 1.1-3
This is a maintenance release to adapt to changes in in the internal build system in R 3.6.0. There are no functional differences, and you do not need to upgrade if your current version works.
First CRAN release
Version 1.1-2 is the first CRAN release.
This version of cepreader builds an independent Fortran program that communicates through command line and temporary files with R. In this way we avoid linking Fortran I/O to R.
Some computer security settings can prevent launching separate programs from R. If you cannot grant exceptions, you can try the less versatile and more fragile implementation in vegan.
