Add the following lines in your build.sbt.
To use json4s-native
libraryDependencies ++= Seq(
"com.github.tototoshi" %% "play-json4s-native" % "0.10.1",
"com.github.tototoshi" %% "play-json4s-test-native" % "0.10.1" % "test"
)
To use json4s-jackson
libraryDependencies ++= Seq(
"com.github.tototoshi" %% "play-json4s-jackson" % "0.10.1",
"com.github.tototoshi" %% "play-json4s-test-jackson" % "0.10.1" % "test"
)
If you are using Play 2.5, see README.play25.md
play.modules.enabled += "com.github.tototoshi.play2.json4s.jackson.Json4sModule"
// or play.modules.enabled += "com.github.tototoshi.play2.json4s.native.Json4sModule"

This module also provides test helpers for Json4s.
To use test helpers for json4s-native

To use test helpers for json4s-jackson
import com.github.tototoshi.play2.json4s.test.jackson.Helpers._
This add the features as the following
- FakeApplication#withJson4sBody
- contentAsJson4s
class PlayModuleSpec extends FunSpec with Matchers with WithActorSystem {

contentType(res) should be(Some("application/json"))
contentAsJson4s(res) should be(
