How to watch what an instruction reads or writes
If the cheat code is patching game code you can use "Jump to ASM" button
Use "ASM explorer" button
Press select will bring you to memory explorer of the data so you can look at surrounding values
You can go back to asm explorer with your cursor is at the address of the code
