Personal Statement From the Lead Developer
With a heavy heart, I announce that due to failed contract negotiations, most of the Taipei Urban Intelligence Center team, including myself, will be leaving in a few days. This will be one of my last updates.
This project began not by order but from one engineer's imagination. I joined TUIC in April 2023 and took over the outdated Taipei City Dashboard 1.0. Unlike typical government contractors who settle for passable work, I aimed for excellence. Quietly, I redesigned and rewrote the entire platform. When I showcased my work, my superiors quickly embraced it to promote open-source governance and the Taipei Codefest Hackathon.
With a small team of five, we created a valuable asset: Taiwan's first fully open-source government platform, admired by companies and other governments.
Sadly, this project might soon be handled by a large contractor who may not maintain our standards. Still, I wish my successors the best and hope our spirit endures so Taipei City Dashboard can continue to thrive.

v2 is set to be released in late February or early March. The new version will feature new interfaces as well as support for connecting to Taipei City Dashboard's to-be-released back-end.

This is also the official version that should be used during 2023 Taipei Codefest.
New Features
- Revised timestamp formats for chart data. All times from now on should be in the ISO 8601 (UTC+8) format
YYYY-MM-DDThh:mm:ssTZD. - Add access to the “more info” dialog on the map view page.
- Removed all unused properties in geojson files.
- UI enhancements: Increased font-m to 18px; Highlighted active chart button; Adjusted MapLegend Chart to less resemble buttons.
- Update all YouBike components. Removed some sensitive data per department requests.
