You won't need to download any software now since OffSec decided to use online screensharing.
However, I found that it doesn't work well in Firefox because the proctor couldn't see my screen.
I switched to Chrome and downloaded the extension, then everything works like a charm.

Privilege escalation is the thing that will f*ck you up in the exam. I failed to privesc both windows machines in the exam.
Don't follow my footsteps.
