Gazelle Code Style Guide

surrsurus edited this page Nov 1, 2017 · 1 revision

Gazelle has some very loose conventions and optional syntactic sugar. For the best looking result, adhere to the following guide.

  1. Use 2 Space Indentation
    • This might be a contentious topic, and therefore this one can be enforced as you see fit. However, all .gel files associated with this repository will follow it.
  2. Use syntactic sugar
    • Use ' over quote, ,@ over unquotesplicing, etc.
    • Use \ over lambda unless inside a definition
    • Use the shorthand def notation unless it must be apparent that you are defining a procedure
  3. Use two semicolons for your line comments
