I have added basic Markdown syntax rules to the TextMate grammar for Stencila Markdown. The extension should now be able to identify all of Markdown's basic rules.
For example, this is being identified as italic when it is between two asterisks (this is one of Markdown's basic rules):
I have also added a number of examples of Markdown's syntax into the
syntax.smd
file.
