Shared Storage Marketplace:

Similar to AirBNB or Getaround, we are looking for an online marketplace where people who have storage space (such as a spare garage or room) can post this space on a centralized site where people who need storage in their area can pay for it on a monthly basis. Would be a lot cheaper than traditional storage units and would allow people to find storage at a location closest to their home.

Terminologies:-

  • Storage owner : The person who owns a storage unit and wishes to list the same in our platform.
  • Storage unit : The space which the storage owner wishes to rent.
  • Customer : The person who wants to book the listed storage unit.
  • Agent : Also a customer, who bulk books and rents the same.
  • Advertisers : Person/organization who wishes to advertise in our platform

Problems

  • Problems of Storage owner

    • The potential threat of authorized items / goods been stored in the unit
    • Potential damages that can be caused by the customer to our storage unit
    • Storage unit not been booked for a longer time
    • Not receiving the transaction amount

  • Problems of Customer

    • Finding fake storage units in the platform
    • Customer - not finding a required storage unit
    • Not able to contact the storage owner
    • Listed storage unit mismatches with the actual storage unit
    • Storage unit - not assigned ever after transacting the amount
    • Storage owner not having legal documents
