Welcome to the project repository for A Digital Catalogue of Syriac Manuscripts in the British Library: A Linked Data Encoding of the Catalogue of William Wright.

This repository contains a data pipeline for creating TEI XML manuscript records of entries in William Wright's Catalogue of Syriac Manuscripts in the British Museum acquired since the year 1838 (London: Gilbert and Rivington, 1870-1872). The result of this project, a Linked Open Data graph database through the use of Syriaca.org’s URIs as its authority file will be housed on Syriaca.org via its main app repository. The Wright Catalogue repository houses in-progress and draft data, as well as various XQuery modules and CSS style sheets used for data pipelining and development. The project has used this repository since Fall 2019. The following pages provide an overview of the repository and its components.
