Gio is a library for writing cross-platform immediate mode GUIs in Go. Gio supports all the major platforms: Linux, macOS, Windows, Android, iOS, FreeBSD, OpenBSD and WebAssembly.
Supporting all of those platforms and developing new features takes a lot of time, and your sponsorship helps cover the costs of:
- running infrastructure like our website,
- paying for some of the time team members spend maintaining the Gio ecosystem,
- and funding engineering work to add new features.
Notable work your support can help with:
- enabling accessibility support on more platforms (it's Android-only right now),
- improving the text shaping engine to support font fallback, system font discovery, and additional shaping options,
- moving us towards Gio 1.0, a stable, guaranteed backwards-compatible release ready for general use.
