HSTCAL Version 2.7.0

The following updates, specified in separate sections for each instrument, have been included with this release. This release is presented as HSTDP-2021.2.0 milestones

HSTCAL package updates

WFC3

  • WFC3 updated to Version 3.6.0

    • Implementation of a significantly upgraded CTE correction as defined/derived by J. Anderson.
      The upgraded CTE algorithm is also streamlined and executes faster than the previous version.

  • Affects old data

  • Users should re-retrieve affected datasets from the archive

  • Updated reference files delivered by science team

ACS

  • ACS updated to Version 10.3.1

    • Fixed a bug which specifically was only an issue when trying to run "acscte.e" or "acsforwardmodel.e" as
      standalone components. These two executables would generate a SegFault. This problem did NOT affect
      the calibration pipeline processing (i.e., CALACS).

  • Affects old data

  • Users should re-retrieve affected datasets from the archive

  • Updated reference files delivered by science team
