Containers

This repository contains containers which can used by Jenkins and Ansible to configure and manage SEAPATH.

pxe

This container can be used to easily deploy a DHCP server with PXE support. It is used by SEAPATH as a PXE server for flashing the physical machines' disks and as a DHCP server to give an IP configuration to VMs.

The server configuration is done each time the container is launched according to the following environment variables.

Environment variables Mandatory Description

PXE

No

Define this variable to enable PXE support. Set to uefi to enable UEFI compatibility

SERVER_ADDRESS

Only if PXE is defined

The PXE IP address assigned to the BIND_INTERFACE interface

DHCP_RANGE_BEGIN

Yes

First IP address of the DHCP IP address range reservation

DHCP_RANGE_END

Yes

Last IP address of the DHCP IP address range reservation

BIND_INTERFACE

Yes

The network interface to bind with the DHCP server and PXE server

DHCP_NO_IGNORE

No

By default, the DHCP server does not reply from an unknown machine. So to yes to always reply

To be able to give the right IP to the right machine you need to provide a specific configuration file which makes the link between MAC address and IP address. This file must have the .conf extension and must be mounted in the container with the -v option in /etc/dnsmasq.d/.

For instance:

` # Hypervisor 1 dhcp-host=00:0b:ab:ce:d6:27,192.168.219.4 # Hypervisor 2 dhcp-host=1c:fd:08:70:84:c4,192.168.219.5 # Observer dhcp-host=00:01:2e:4d:6d:dd,192.168.219.6 `
