How to install a BETA
Installing a BETA is not recommended unless you are explicitly want to try a new feature. (You are not going to lose current config that remains stored in ~/Documents/FireflyLuciferin folder).
To install a new BETA you need to do the following:
-
Download the latest Firefly Luciferin BETA
from here. You need to be logged into GitHub. -
Start Firefly Luciferin software
and enjoy the new BETA features. - If a BETA firmware is available, Firefly Luciferin BETA will update all the connected devices automatically (full firmware only).
NOTE:
BETA software and firmware will be automatically updated to the latest stable as soon as a new stable version is available.
Once the BETA switches to the stable version, Luciferin will continue to use the stable channel ignoring new BETAs.
If you want to manually update to a BETA firmware, you can install the new BETA Glow Worm Luciferin firmware using Web Installer. To install the BETA firmware you need to select the "BETA Version" in the drop down menu on the web installer page instead of the default "Latest stable version".
